Endodontics
What is Endodontics?
At Columbus Endodontic Specialists, we deal with many different types of issues relating to our patients’ oral health. Endodontics is the branch of dentistry concerning dental pulp and tissues surrounding the roots of a tooth. Endodontic treatment and procedures are typically known as “root canal treatment” and relate to the soft tissue/pulp of the tooth. Our practice is trained in the area of endodontics, and we help provide options to save our patient’s natural teeth.
How Is Endodontics Different Than Regular Dentistry?
To become endodontists, our doctors completed two or more years of advanced endodontic training after dental school. They are trained to perform both routine and very complex, difficult endodontic treatments and procedures. Some of the most common endodontic services provided at our practice include:
- Endodontic surgery
- Root canal therapy and treatment
- Surgeries and treatment to save teeth after a traumatic oral injury
- Other unique situations involving the root and pulp of a tooth
Our practice is lucky to be able to have such experienced specialists to work intently on saving your tooth or teeth. Through the combination of advanced technology and innovative procedures and techniques, our team is ready to help you restore your smile to its natural radiance and function. Our dentists’ goal is to always first and foremost save your natural teeth. By saving your natural tooth, your smile and overall mouth will be able to function naturally and as intended–without any of the potential issues of false teeth or implants. Nothing looks, feels or functions like your natural tooth!
